The Pramberger Series. The Pramberger designs were created by Joseph Pramberger. Pramberger, a highly respected piano designer and engineer with a family history in technical aspect of the piano industry. His father, from Germany, was an heir of many piano engineers before him. Pramberger senior came to America and set up a career with Steinway in Astoria. Joseph following in his family's tradition followed and spent most of his adult life, 29 years, working as an engineer and then manufacturing executive at Steinway America, right in the Astoria factory.

He was responsible for engineering Steinway pianos that were made during the time he was with them. When new management took over Steinway, he separated from the company. He went to work at that time creating and perfecting his scale engineering using his own respected name. His designs were so honored Young Chang piano company employed the services of Joseph Pramberger to re-engineer a special line of piano for them call the Pramberger series. These are wonderful, full and rich in voice with good touch control and quality components.
