STEM Lab Teaching Assistant – Weekend $40-$50/hour

Founded during Covid-19 Period, GF SciGeek Laboratory is dedicated to provide Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education to elementary and middle school students (Grade 3-8). GF SciGeek Laboratory is a next-generation learning center that combines creative ideas, new ways of learning, and novel ways of thinking.

Job Description:

• GF SciGeek Laboratory is seeking weekend Professional STEM Lab Teaching assistant. Responsibilities for this position include:
• Preparation of lab materials and setups
• Post laboratory required materials into WeChat group
• Monitoring in-person and virtual laboratory classes, in conjunction with a professor to guide and assist students doing experiments
• Take photos of students in doing experiments and student’s results, and share with students’ parents
• Maintaining general safety and cleanliness of laboratory room
• Grading student’s lab reports and addressing students concerns/questions
• Help professor update ‘Google Classroom’ online

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or Physics
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in a laboratory environment
• Lab Teaching experience preferred
• Familiar with Scientific and Safety standards
