Quality Control Manager/Documentation Specialist – Competitive – Hauppauge, NY

The Role

Do you have a BA/BS Degree in chemistry, microbiology, biology, biochemistry or equivalent? If so, MTC Industries, Inc. a fast-growing nutritional ingredients supplier has an opening for a Quality Control Manager to take a forward step in their career.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will collect, review, inspect, approve and sample incoming materials and coordinate all necessary COA’s while following all SOP’s.

The key responsibilities of a Quality Control Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the team that prepares and issues the Certificate of Analysis & Specification and Technical Data Sheet for each product we offer.
• Provide the sales team with accurate and timely sample support.
• Responsible for the GMP inspection of Warehouse, QC Lab, Facility, Sample room, labeling room and all the areas as required.
• Properly recording all data, as per SOPs.
• Insure all cGMP and NSF requirements are followed throughout the facility.
• This is an on-site position.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Quality Control Manager:

• BA/BS Degree in chemistry, microbiology, biology, biochemistry or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet customer deadlines.
• Ability to make judgement calls to ensure quality of products.
• Ability to communicate any issues or concerns with Sales Team, vendors and customers as needed.
• Fluent in English and Chinese/Mandarin required.
• Must be computer literate (MS Office suite especially Word, Excel, Adobe and the internet.).
• SAP knowledge preferred.
