This is a special arrangement for a student, preferably female student who commutes from Queens to stony brook Monday to Friday ONLY.

We have a nice size room, fully furnished, with bed, desk, dresser, central air, ceiling fan, high hat lighting.  Located in a gated community with full service landscaping. Large end unit. Private and super quiet. 

The house has central air, laundry, new kitchen and 2.5 baths.  Your room is upstairs, sharing the bathroom with two kids.  The kids can always use my bathroom as well if there is scheduling conflict. 

The place has gym open from 6am to 10pm every day. 2 LARGE swimming pool outdoor/heated, gym, and a club house with kitchen, cable TV, and fire place. You can use it and bring guests. But no guest over night stay. It's a great place to study if you want peace and quiet.  FREE WiFi too. Better than study halls at school. 

The arrangement is this:

1. You will NOT have early morning classes before 9am. And hopefully no classes between 3:50pm and 4:30pm.

2. I have two boys, age 9 and 11. I leave for work at 7:30am M-F.  I come back at 4:30pm. The boys get up, dress themselves and feed themselves and get on the bus outside the house. I just need YOU to be home at that time. You do not need to take care of them. You are just home in case to make sure they get on the school bus. If they miss the bus, you will have to drive them to school, which is one mile away from home. They get on the bus at 8:50am. Their school starts at 9:15am. So, if they miss the bus, you make sure you get them to school on time. I work 20 minutes from there. If something goes wrong I can come back. Their father lives 15 min from there.  He works at stony brook university. He can be available too.

3. The boys get home around 4:10pm. I will be home at 4:30pm. If you fit into that schedule to be at home during that time. PERFECT. If not, it may not be such a big deal. They probably have after school programs into the late afternoon.

4. We are a Chinese family and we speak Chinese at home. We do not do a lot of cooking. So we don't expect you to do a lot of cooking, no stir frying. You are a commuter, which means you only need the place when there is school. If there are no university classes, don't worry about the arrangement. My mother will come from Queens to help and stay with us.

5. So, this is all very flexible. As there are many back up plans. I am looking to fill this vacancy ANY TIME, but only with suitable candidate.  Prefer move in Sept. But August is fine too.

6. The boys go to stay with their dad overnight from Wednesday night to Thurs. That means, you don't need to be home for them on Thursday morning. 

7. Alternating weekends the boys stay with their father and come home Monday  after school. That means, on some Mondays you don't need to be home for them in the morning.

This is an excellent deal for someone who doesn't have classes in the morning and hopefully not in the afternoon from 3:50pm to 4:30pm.  

It is a 8 min drive to stonybrook university.

If you are reliable candidate, clean, responsible, have a car, do not drive, do not smoke or drink or cook a lot, and you are a commuter and don't mind the noises of children, this is for you. The rent is about $550.  I don't need you to do much. But to be HOME at those times.
